Does Lettuce+ actually save you money?

This is a membership pitch, but with the math out in the open. Below is exactly when Lettuce+ saves you money — and just as importantly, when it doesn't. If it's not for you, that's fine. We'd rather have a happy non-member than a frustrated one.

What Lettuce+ actually is

One flat fee. 15% off every cannabis purchase — flower, vapes, edibles, concentrates — every visit, no minimums, no blackout dates. Plus access to the secret menu (products we only sell to Members). That's it. No tier ladders to climb, no points to track.

Three plans:

• Monthly: $10/mo. Cancel anytime.
• Quarterly: $30/3 months. Same monthly cost, but includes a welcome gift.
• Annual: $100/year. Saves $20 vs paying monthly. Welcome gift included.

The break-even line

Lettuce+ pays for itself once your discount equals the membership fee. The math is simple:

So: if you spend more than ~$67 a month at a Michigan dispensary (any Michigan dispensary, but obviously we hope it's us), Lettuce+ saves you money. Annual plan? The bar drops to ~$56/mo.

For reference, a half of mid-tier flower in Jackson is currently around $30–$40. Two halves a month and you're likely past break-even.

Where it really pays off

If you buy ounces

This is where the math really stacks. A Tier-1 ounce at Lettuce is $94 — with Lettuce+ you pay $79.90, saving roughly $14 per ounce. Buy one a month and the annual plan pays for itself in about seven months.

If you shop weekly

Even at a modest $40/week, you're spending ~$170/mo. At 15% off that's $25/month back in your pocket, or $300/year. Annual plan ($100) means net savings of $200/year, plus a welcome gift.

If you buy vapes and edibles regularly

15% adds up faster than people think once it's stacked across a basket. A $30 vape becomes $25.50, a $4 pack of gummies drops to $3.40, and so on for everything else you grab. A couple of vapes and a few edibles a month and the monthly plan is already covered — every flower purchase after that is pure savings.

Where it doesn't pay off

If you only buy a few times a year

Holidays, birthdays, the occasional Friday. Total spend $200/year? Wait on the membership.

If you primarily buy from a different shop

Lettuce+ only applies at Lettuce locations. If you've got a strong local elsewhere and you're loyal, no judgement — that's how this should work. (We'll be here when you decide to try us.)

The secret menu

This part isn't in the math but it matters. Members get access to a small rotating selection of products that aren't on the public shelf — limited drops, partner-grower exclusives, and the occasional staff-favorite jar that doesn't get printed in the regular menu. It's not a huge volume, but if you like discovering things, it's a real perk.

How to actually sign up

Walk into the shop with valid 21+ ID and your debit card. Tell whoever's at the counter you want to join Lettuce+. Pick monthly, quarterly, or annual. Pay. The whole thing takes maybe 2 minutes. Quarterly and annual signups walk out the door with a welcome gift.

(We don't currently sign people up online. That is by design — we like meeting Members in person, and the welcome gift is real.)
